Ayurveda
Ayurveda is the eldest
known medical treatment which is still in use today. It was developed
in the old-Indian high culture and comprises 5000 years of experience.
The verbatim translation of the word Ayurveda is "science of life".
The goal of Ayurveda is a long life with total physical as well as
mental health. It has to be noted that Ayurveda views the human being
in its entirety, composed of body, mind and soul. The main focus of
Ayurveda lies on the prevention of illnesses.
The three basic forces of nature!
These
are: Every human being has three energy flows which steer the body,
mind and soul. The three basic powers, the so-called Doshas, vary in
their strength from person to person. These three energy flows are
called VATA, PITTA and KAPHA. A harmonic interaction between these
three Doshas maintains a healthy life.
VATA is in liaison with: cold, dry, light, agile, quick and rough
PITTA is in liaison with: warm/hot, spicy, fluid, sour
KAPHA is in liaison with: cold, heavy, oily, sweet, slow, dull
The ayurvedic teas are used to support each Dosha
Stimulating tea supports the Dosha Kapha
Balance tea supports the Dosha Pitta
Anti-Strain-Tea supports the Dosha Vata
The
blends 'women's activity tea' and 'men's activity tea' are created
according to the different characteristics or energy flows of men and
women.
To support a diet or to fast, the fasting tea was created.
A spicy freshness and sweet fruityness is brought into the cup with Ginger Fresh Tea.
Product characteristics:
The ayurvedic varieties
generally do not consist of any orthodox teas and, therefore, are
caffeine free. Since the components such as pepper, etc. yield a
natural strength and spicyness in the infusion, we suggest to add warm
milk, or, in case of a cooled-down tea, fruit teas. These mixtures are
also especially recommended for children and the elderly. Apart from
this, you should try the blends pure, sweetened and hot or cold.
Preparation:
We recommend a teaspoon full per variety, brewed with boiling water and let sit for 5-7 minutes.
Exception Ref. N° 22865: boil 11 grams of „Yoga-Tea“ in approximately 1
liter of water for circa 30 minutes. In addition you could add 6 grams
of black tea (we recommend our Ceylon OP Highgrown Ref. N° 22453 ) and
let it sit for 5 more minutes. Add ¼ liters of hot or cold water and
sweeten to taste.
