The Kiwano (horn melon) is a relatively new melon variety which is originally from New Zealand. The fruit is cut in half and the pulp is eaten with a spoon. The flavour reminds of bananas.

Characteristics: cylindrical, yellow-brown to red fruits with a length of 10 - 14 cm. Pulp: green, very soft, juicy and with many semen.
