Quality Assurance / Residue Analysis
We at Dethlefsen & Balk, both as importer and producer, consider it our duty to ensure that all products we buy are permanently subject to strict quality controls. We and certainly also our suppliers, verify by means of control schedules the adherence to quality requirements in terms of identity, pureness and content controls according to the corresponding regulations and specification of the product.
The microbiological analysis, the analyses of pesticides, heavy metals, aflatoxins and other residue analyses are generally carried out at random in regular intervals. However, they can be requested by our clients for specific charges at the general costs. We consider it our duty to ensure that on delivery to our customers our goods are, to the best of our knowledge, in accordance with the legal requirements of the US as well as the European Guidelines. At present, and to the best of our knowledge, all teas as well as other ingredients in our catalog are gluten-free.

We recognize that environmental protection is becoming increasingly important. A large portion of our teas come from controlled organic cultivation. All of our teas and ingredients are carefully chosen and subject to strict quality measures. As in the past, D&B remains commited to these traditions and principles, as our customers all over the world have come to expect this consistency of quality from our teas, ingredients and accessories.
