This tea is not only a perfectly balanced combination of classical Sencha leaf tea, mild Matcha and peeled, roasted rice. This widely known variety of Japanese Genmaicha respects the highest standards of quality. The lime-coloured cup reveals a light, roasted note. A cup of this tea is a pleasure for all the senses. Wonderfully soft in taste, slightly sweet and with hints of caramel, this tea opens its heart to you... and in return you will be captivated by the spicy sweetness.
The name “Hathikuli” is composed of the two words, “Hati” which means elephant, and “Kuli” which means often. The “Hathikuli” tea garden is on a territory close to the Kaziranga National Park and is often visited by roaming elephants. The young shoots are carefully plucked by hand from Clonal shrubs and immediately steamed, gently rolled and dried. The organically grown tea is now ready to be brewed and to unfold its noble class. The open, wiry leaf is rather atypical for Assam teas, and has a matt, light green iridescent colour. This is a beautiful, fresh green tea that remains faithful to its Assam character.
The scent alone will convince you of this delicious green tea blend! The ripe, sweet and distinct flavor of plums, blended with doughy, equally sweet aromas of cake is a perfect interpretation of the delicious and juicy plum cake with crumbles. Plum pieces, blue cornflower blossoms and light flakes of trendy quinoa together with the caramel pieces make this green tea blend an optical highlight. Simply delicious!
This tea is from Shizuoka on the Fujiyama mountain slopes, where it is harvested mechanically in the fall. Stalks and broken pieces are removed by hand. Sencha means “steamed tea”. This tea is carefully processed and slightly steamedbefore rolling and drying. Thus, the leaf obtains a very fine and fragile structure. The infusion has a shimmering, light olive-green color. The taste is distinct with a dominant note in the aftertaste and ideal for those who like strong green teas.
We can offer a high-category tea, which is very popular in Japan. For this so-called twig tea, particularly the fine leaf ribs are used and mixed with a Sencha. The fine, light-green leaf stalks together with the dark green Sencha have a beautiful appearance. This classic is very popular, also due to its low caffeine content. As far as taste is concerned, with its fine, tangy, very pleasantly spicy note it resembles a typical Japanese Sencha of higher category. The cup is lemonyellow. The light green infusion has a full, spicy smell.
