This estate ranks highly due to its fine organic green teas, which are sought after by connoisseurs and enthusiasts around the world. Our tea shimmers in many nuances of green, with long, slightly needle-like leaves. Afterbrewing, you will be impressed by the bright green, flowery and sweet infusion with visible leaf structures. The fresh taste is reflected in the sunny yellow cup color.
From this tiny growing region within the world of tea, more and more respectable green tea qualities are entering the market and are very cost effective. We support the efforts of the local producers by importing this humble tea. The slightly curly, very homogeneous medium-sized leaf with both silvery and light green tips has a typical Nepalese character with some unfermented leaves. The mild, grassy note shines with elegance and character.
Also called “Tua Chua-Lai Chau” in Vietnamese. The leaves of this rarity come from the old “Tuyet San” tea trees which grow up to 10 m in height in the mountain ranges in northern Vietnam at an altitude of about 1,500 m. The mountaintops are covered in thick clouds almost throughout the year. These practically ideal growing conditions guarantee a constant, very high quality. This tea captivates with a smoky green, beautifully curled leaf. The brewed olive-green leaf discloses the careful processing of the whole leaf, and the golden-colored cup has a full, slightly sweet taste with a fresh, grass-like note.
In China, whole leaf green teas are traditionally scented with Jasmine flower petals layered within the tea leaves. The petals are harvested during the day and stored cool at night in order to bloom and unfold their full fragrance. According to the desired quality grades, the petals are sifted out after processing. For this reason, teas vary from light to stronger delicate floral flavors and tastes. The cup has a light, slightly yellow color and already spreads the intense aroma of jasmine.
Also known as “Zucha” or “Pearl Tea”, this Gunpowder is much finer than its predecessor. Just like the classic Gunpowder, this tea is dried in rolling drums. The constant rotation gives the tea its spherical form. “Temple of Heaven” tea features a very tightly rolled ball, which is also a sign of quality. The aroma is softer than that of the standard quality and less bitter. This tea may be enjoyed at any time of the day. If you still find the brew too tangy,try pouring away the first brew and taste the second, which will eliminate much of the caffeine should you so desire.
